Saxophonist, Tommy Bradford has always been a realist. He believes in the realism of Music. At age 32, this fundamental idea is what keeps him constantly developing his craft. Growing up in Chicago, IL he had the privilege of hearing a variety of music and developed a strong appreciation for music. He began his musical career in elementary school playing throughout high school and later graduating from Columbia College in Chicago with a degree in Music Business. He is extremely fortunate and appreciative to have had mentors such as Ken Chaney, Ari Brown & Bobby Broom in his life. He’s performed in a variety of different bands from that range from the Jazz Fusion group Double Forte to the Acid Jazz sounds of Religion of Peace to Mr. Ali.

His main focus: The Tommy Bradford Band is a jazz group as such where all members share his vision of music. They strive to bring different genres of music into the jazz format and make it sound like there own. Tommy always felt a musician should play in a variety of different settings and prepare as such for life after school. This idea among others lead him to start a new group called The John Style’s Band (J.Style’s aka Tommy Bradford) that focuses on developing important modern music.

Tommy is also developing new ways to present music to audiences and has recently become a partner in the Silver Room Jewelry stores in Chicago. The Silver Room presents live entertainment, artist openings and fashion shows. Aside from just being a “gigging” musician, Tommy wants to develop new ideas on how to present music as well as ways of giving artists more performance opportunities. Whether on stage or in jewelry store, Tommy continues to develop his music, philosophy and find new and exciting way to bring music to the masses.
